Role Overview

The Head Waiter/tress ensures that all guests are served according to Brand Standards in the Restaurant / Bar / Lounge areas. The highest standards of hospitality are always demonstrated within all food and beverage areas. Takesorders for, serves (when applicable, prepares) food and beverages for guests ina friendly, timely and efficient manner.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the restaurant or dining area within the hotel, ensuring smooth service delivery and guest satisfaction
  • Ensuring that guests are greeted warmly, seated promptly, and provided with exceptional service throughout their dining experience
  • Overseeing the setting of tables, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, and ensuring it meets hotel standards
  • Managing guest orders, coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages, and ensuring orders are served accurately
  • Handling guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints efficiently, ensuring immediate and effective resolution to guarantee satisfaction
  • Monitoring and managing inventory of dining supplies and beverages, ensuring stock levels are maintained and minimizing waste
  • Upselling food, beverages & drinks
  • Ensuring the implementation of health, safety, and hygiene standards, and overseeing the maintenance of a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
  • Collaborating with other hotel departments, including front desk and housekeeping, to ensure guests' needs are met beyond the dining experience

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in hospitality, or the luxury industry
  • Α Degree/Diploma in culinary will be considered an asset
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Strong focus on cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Very good knowledge of English language
